Therapy Dogs in Training

To say we’re grateful for this journey would be an understatement.

LEGO and Mayo came to us from Barefoot Kennels, and from the very beginning, we knew they were special. We are deeply thankful to Barefoot Kennels for entrusting us with two dogs whose temperaments, steadiness, and hearts make them beautiful therapy prospects.

But their story here is more than training sessions.

They are growing alongside our family.

Our children work with them. Learn from them. Practice patience, responsibility, and quiet leadership beside them. On our property in Dade City, these dogs aren’t just being trained — they’re being thoughtfully developed in real life, around real movement, real distractions, and real connection.

Therapy work requires more than obedience.
It requires presence. Emotional neutrality. A genuine steadiness that brings calm into busy or vulnerable spaces.

That’s what we are building with LEGO and Mayo — intentionally and with purpose.

This process takes time, clarity, and care. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We are incredibly excited for the meaningful work these two are destined to do in our community.
